About Restoring Sight International, Inc. (RSI)

Established in 1996, RSI is a not-for-profit
corporation dedicated to the prevention of blindness
among the poor in the United States and the rest of
the world through the delivery of quality eye care
services, the treatment of eye diseases, education, and research.
RSI initially partnered with The
Ophthalmological Foundation of the Philippines (OFPHIL) to
address the high incidence of curable blindness in the
Philippines. Currently, RSI has expanded its scope
to include projects in the United States, Brazil, Chile, and Israel.

Our Mission

- Administer free eye care to the poor, worldwide
- Fund eyecare-related community projects like vision screenings in disadvantaged communities
- Subsidize ophthalmic medicines, laboratory costs, and transportation costs for
indigent patients
- Establish modern eye diagnostic treatment centers, with facilities for cataract
surgery, in disadvantaged communities
- Support advancement of ophthalmology through education and research
- Establish training fellowships in ophthalmology and optometry for young professionals
practicing in disadvanaged communities
